Here’s the big news: I’m moving to Singapore!
Approximately 15,000 kilometers, two oceans, several continents, 42 degrees, 16 minutes South.
On January 4th, 2012 I will be fleeing the cold Canadian winter for the Asian tropics, starting a new chapter of my life. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to go and travel and experience more of the world. In Singapore I’ll be spending time with my parents, who are there, volunteering with OMF, the mission agency they work for and seeking God’s direction for the next stage of my life. There is a dance studio looking for a teacher, conferences needing child caregivers and lots of opportunities, especially to travel. I plan to return to Japan as well as visit Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and pretty much as much of Asia and the Pacific as I can manage.
This website and blog will by my corner of the Internet where you can follow along my adventures. Pictures, video, reflections, status updates, you’ll find it all here.
Before I go I intend to make the most of my Autumn in Canada. My brother Andrew will be getting married in December and I have eleven weeks left at my job at Starbucks. I’ll be blogging as I prepare to go, and transition from one chapter to the next. Feel free to check back for updates or e-mail me with questions or comments at growing.w.grace@gmail.com!
